The Shanghai Primepharm Health Co Ltd showcased its newly-developed Smokevitamin, health-care e-cigarettes for smokers, at an international show held in Geneva on May 6.

The four-day event attracted 500 exhibitors and more than 100,000 visitors from different countries.

As a global supplier, Primepharm has devoted energy to developing innovative health-care products and participated in the show for seven years running.

“The new product it has developed is a result of cooperation with the Hungarian Tobacco Company,” said a senior manger from Dingli.

The manager said the e-cigarette produces a spray mist by heating the tobacco fragrance through a low-pressure microelectronics atomization device, which can help smokers give up smoking.

This is because the e-cigarette, which does not contain tar and other harmful components, won’t produce second-hand smoke and will help smokers break their habit, he added.

But due to lack of clinical trial data, many countries and international institutions have expressed reservations about the use of e-cigarettes.

The Los Angeles government decided in March in the wake of New York and Chicago to ban the use of e-cigarettes in some public areas.

Experts said e-cigarettes still keep nicotine which itself is harmful to human body. That means e-cigarettes will still cause a certain influence on health if smokers often use them.
