Shanghai Vice Mayor surveys Caohejing

An investigation team led by Shanghai Vice-Mayor Wu Qing made a survey of Caohejing on February 21.

The team, which consists of Chen Mingbo, deputy secretary-general of the city government, and other officials from the government departments, visited the Caohejing Today exhibition hall and held a symposium to hear the reports from Caohejing.

Present at the survey were Liu Jiaping, Party secretary and chairman of Lingang Group, and Gui Enliang, vice president of Lingang Group and Party secretary and chairman of the Caohejing High-Tech Park Development Corporation.

At the exhibition hall, Wu was briefed on the park's history, brand export, service system and industrial structure, said a source with the park.

He showed strong interests in the park's public service function, which serves enterprises at Caohejing as well as at the Yangtze River Delta and the central and western regions.
At the symposium, the vice mayor fully recognized the achievements the park has made in transformation and innovation.

He said Caohejing should become an important support for the “Shanghai service”brand and the construction of Shanghai Technology Innovation Center.

The vice mayor required Caohejing to create economic benefits and achieve professional and sustainable development by making use of its specific market mechanism.

Meanwhile, Caohejing should pay attention to social benefits, create a good business environment and explore replicable and popularizing experience for the reform and innovation development of the city and the country, he said.
