A seminar on AI industry development was held at Caohejing on March 22.

Present at the seminar, which was co-sponsored by Caohejing and the Shanghai Science and Technology Policy Institute, were nearly 20 experts from the city's development research center, the Shanghai Science and Technology Commission, the Shanghai Science Institute, the Shanghai Science and Technology Policy Institute, Gartner Group and Ernst &Young.

Bern Elliot, Gartner's vice president of AI research, introduced the global cutting-edge AI application scenario solutions, analyzed the world's planned AI types and proposed to focus on process automation, natural language communication and machine learning.

Then he analyzed and summarized the important AI solutions across multiple fields, focusing on network security, manufacturing and operation, digital marketing, financial management and vehicle specific software.

He also popularized the risk prevention of AI projects. The Ernst & Young team introduced the research report on Caohejing AI Industry Development Strategy, prompting the distribution of AI enterprises at the international and domestic markets. From the technical point of view, the report explained the framework algorithm, general technology and chips in the AI core industry chain that constitute the innovation engine of the industry. It also said the application layer is the barometer that drives and reflects the technological change.

The report proposed the strategic development layout of AI industry for Caohejing and its regions, suggesting that the park should establish an AI ecosphere with one alliance, two systems and five countermeasures.

Ernst & Young sorted out the list of top AI enterprises and emerging enterprises and pointed out corresponding risk control principles for the park in the process of building an AI ecosphere.

Experts at the meeting suggested that Caohejing should focus on the country's policies on development of new generation AI innovation pilot zones and open its AI application scenarios to attract more AI enterprises.
